How it Works

Register with the NHS App or website

Register for the NHS App (on your phone or tablet) or for an online NHS account (on your computer) here . Remember to nominate QUADRANT PHARMACY – St Albans (FJ291) as your preferred pharmacy.

Order your repeat prescription

Your order will be automatically sent to your GP, who will check and approve your prescription before it is sent to the Quadrant Pharmacy ready for dispensing. Please allow 5 working days for your prescription to be ready (in most situations, due to the weekends, that’s one week from ordering). Please remember that the pharmacy also needs time to process the prescription, the notification from the surgery authorising the prescription is part way through its journey.

Receive a text and collect your medicine

Sign up to our text messaging service and then be confident that your medicine will be ready to collect from Quadrant Pharmacy when it is convenient for you. Once your prescription has been processed we will send you a text message when your prescription is ready.

If you are housebound, we also provide a delivery service.

 

Sign up to the NHS App or via the NHS website

To order your prescription, please register via the NHS and remember to set Quadrant Pharmacy as your nominated pharmacy.

Details of who can use the NHS App can be found here  If you wish to order prescription on behalf of someone under 13 years old or for someone who you have caring responsibility for, you will need to set up “proxy access” via your GP surgery.  Unfortunately, this is not something Quadrant Pharmacy is able to help with.

NHS Repeat Prescription App

Quadrant Pharmacy is using the NHS to ensure full integration with your GP surgery and the NHS. We will then be able to receive your prescription quickly and efficiently and dispense your medication ready for you to collect.

Our aim is to take the stress out of ordering your NHS repeat prescriptions by providing everything you need.

There are two simple ways to register

Either use one of the links to the App Store or Google Play, or, register via the NHS website here here . Once registered order your repeat prescription and you can sit back and relax.

Please remember if you wish to receive a text message when your prescriptions are ready, either pop in and give us consent or send us a message via our Contact Form

When sending a message, please remember to provide your mobile number and that you wish to sign up for the texting service.

Repeat prescriptions take 5 working days to be ready.  It is important to remember that weekends are not working days with the surgeries, so most prescriptions will take one week from ordering via the App.
