Flu and Covid Vaccination
NHS Service – Covid and Flu Autumn 2026
The NHS seasonal campaign runs from 1st October 2026
Flu and Covid vaccine appointments are open via The National Booking Service platform, starting 1st October 2026.
Private Flu Vaccines: These will be available from Monday 21st September. Quadrant Pharmacy does not provide Private Covid vaccinations
Please ensure eligibility before booking.
You can get the winter COVID-19 vaccine if you:
- are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026)
- are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
- live in a care home for older adults
You can get the winter NHS Flu vaccine from Quadrant Pharmacy:
- pregnant women
- all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2026
- all children in clinical risk groups aged from 4 years less than 18 years (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter)
- Young people aged 16 and 17 years old who are in the ‘people experiencing homelessness’ risk group as defined in the Green Book; and
- From 1st December 2026 ONLY Any primary school and secondary school aged children, from Reception to Year 11, who missed the opportunity to receive a flu vaccination from the School Aged Immunisation Service and are not clinically at risk
- those aged 65 years and over
- those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter)
- those in long-stay residential care homes
- carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer-led occupational health scheme

Getting a seasonal vaccination is a great idea. Maybe you are worried about catching covid, you are concerned about having time off work, or maybe you just want to make sure you do not pass it on to the more vulnerable members of your family. Whatever the reason, having the seasonal vaccine can give you protection and peace of mind. Quadrant Pharmacy is offering NHS covid vaccines in St Albans.

Who shouldn’t have the vaccine?
Most eligible people can have the covid vaccine. However, there are a couple of exceptions:
If you are currently unwell with a fever, you should delay the Covid vaccine.
